Hoppy Birthday 2 You

A chance here to use up something that has been sitting in my stash for quite some time.  A while ago (a couple of years at least) I bought some packets of mixed rhinestones as I thought they would be good embellishments for cards.  In the meantime, self adhesive rhinestones came on to the market and were much simpler to use.  The ones on this card are the type that I need to add adhesive to - but it is time to start using them instead of having them collect dust!

This card is for the following challenges:
Imagine That - Progressive Challenge
http://imaginethatdigistamp.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/progressive-challenge-7.html
Clear It Out Challenge - Earth Colours stash
http://clearitoutchallenge.blogspot.ca/2013/05/its-challenge-time_21.html

The paper is from a paper pad by MME - I love those paper pads!  The matting is green paper from a green scrap paper pack.  The image is from Imagine That and has been coloured with copic markers with the addition of some Glossy Accents on the balloon.  The embellishment is the rhinestones mentioned above on top of an offcut of the mesh/ribbon that I bought when on holiday.  I used a piece on a card last week and this little piece was left over.

Hello Fishes

An aquatic theme to this card:

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Just Some Lines - Anything Goes
http://justsomelinesblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/mothers-day-winners-and-new-challenge.html

I have used the fish doodle stamp from Just Some Lines and printed it out three times.  Colouring is done with copic markers.  Matting is blue metallic paper.  I added a couple of strips of washi tape and then added the sentiment from Create with TLC over the top.  I have also added some blue rhinestones.

Happy Birthday Girl

A really girly girly Happy Birthday card:

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
The Outlawz CFC Challenge - Progressive Freebie
http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/cfc/forum/topics/creative-freebie-challenge-may-19th-to-june-1st
Glitter n Sparkle - Birthdays
http://glitternsparklechallengeblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/challenge-34.html
The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge - Girly Girly Card
http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/prismaandothermediums/forum/topics/twisted-thursday-challenge-may-30-girly-girly-card

I have used a paper from a paper pad by MME as the background for this card.  The image is from Sandi Huggett as part of the progressive challenge at The Outlawz CFC Challenge (link above).  The colouring is with copic markers with the addition of some Cotton Candy stickles to her trousers to give them a bit of shimmer.  The sentiment is from Desert Diva, die cut with a Spellbinders die and then embellished with some pink rhinestones.  I have also added a pink polka dot bow to the card - this one is a pre-made bow not one I made myself.

Soccer Boy

The colouring for this image was inspired by my favourite football team when I was younger.  Despite living in NZ, I watched the English Football on the TV and my favourite team was Liverpool.  Oh to be young again and have the time to listen to the live coverage on the radio (if they still do that!) and watch the games on the TV!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
QKR Stampede - Something for the Boys
http://qkrstampede.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/challenge-40-one-for-boys.html
Cupcake Craft - Boys
http://cupcakecraftchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/cupcake-244-boys.html
Digi Stamps 4 Joy - Oh to be Young Again
http://digistamps4joy-sa.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/challenge-68-oh-to-be-young-again.html

I have used a background paper from a retro paper pad by Rosies Studio.  The image is Soccer Boy from Digi Stamps 4 Joy.  Matting is green cardstock.  The buttons are some more from my Mum's button box.  I kind of thought they looked like footballs - okay it is late at night!

Glittery Winter Girl

I was checking when the current challenge at Fresh Brewed Designs was due to close and came across another challenge that only had a bit of time remaining.  So, I got to it and completed this card:

The card is for the following challenges
Fresh Brewed Designs - Glitter
http://freshbreweddesigns.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/24-hour-caffeine-crazy-challenge-may.html
The Outlawz CAS Challenge - Winter

The background paper is from a christmas paper pad.  This particular piece was left over from another card!  The image is Winter Girl from Fresh Brewed Designs.  I already had her coloured up so just had to add the Holly Stickles over the top of her dress and hat.  The green glitter tape is from American Crafts - not sure the brand of the glittery christmas tree.  The flower is two individual parts topped with a rhinestone which I applied some Holly Stickles to.  The matting is green glitter cardstock from DCWV.

Beach Kitty

Another summery card with  water coloured theme:

I am entering the card in the following challenges:
Meljens Designs - Bejewelled Bliss
http://meljensdesignsdt.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/challenge-161-bejewelled-bliss.html
AnnaBelle Stamps - Sketch
http://annabellestamps.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/ac163.html
I have used a background paper from MME for this card.  The image is Beach Kitty from Meljens Designs.  I know that the intention in the sketch was probably to add a sentiment in the rectangle below the image but I thought that would be a perfect way of showing off this lovely string of pearls and rhinestones.  Just the right amount of glitz for this glamorous looking kitty at the beach.  Colouring is mainly with copic markers with some watercolour pencil on the ear inner.

Summer Fun

Not very summery here (start of winter so what do I expect!) but it is fun to create a summer card.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Flat Friends - punches
http://flatfriendschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/challenge-8-punches-x.html
Sentimental Sundays - Outdoor Fun
http://sentimentalsundays.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/challenge-156-outdoor-fun.html
Peppercus Challenge - Summer colours
http://peppercus-design-challengeblog.blogspot.de/2013/05/challenge-18-bis-14062013.html

I have used a beach themed paper from a paper pad for the background.  The image is from Flat Friends.   I have matted this with another paper from that same paper pad which I punched with a Martha Stewart border punch.  The sentiment is from Peppercus Designs.

Gingerbread People All tied up

A very traditional Christmas card this time - it seems like forever that I have gone so traditional with my colour scheme!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Winter Wonderland - All Tied Up
http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/all-tied-up.html

ABC Christmas Challenge - Kept Safe
http://abcchristmaschallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/k-is-for-kept-safe.html

I have used a striped christmas paper from a christmas paper pad as the background for this card.  The ribbon is from American Crafts.  The image is from Cre8ive Hands and has been coloured using copic markers and Stickles then matted on red cardstock.  The buttons are some from my Mum's button box - I've had these particular ones for about a year but I suspect Mum has had them for more than 10 years before that.

Wow - White on white

I really love working with white on white - just something special about limited colour in a card:

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

CHNC - Anything Christmas
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/chnc-challenge-extra-for-may.html

When I was on holiday, I found a couple of packs of paper doilies which I knew would be perfect for cardmaking so I bought them.  This is the first card that I have made using one of the round ones.  The next layer on this card is a Memory Box die cut from glossy cardstock and embellished with pearls.  The image from Whoopsi Daisy has bben coloured using flesh watercolour pencil, Stickles and Kindy Glitz.  The die used to cut out the image is one from Marianne's Designs.  The button that I have used comes from my Mum's button box and has probably been there for at least 20 years!!!  I have also added some larger white pearls on the left of the card.

I have used three different papers from Trimgym.  The layers have been matted with brown cardstock from Rosies Studio.  The image is from Anne Fenton (Anne's Cards 4 U) as part of The Outlawz CFC Progressive Challenge.  The red mesh is another one of the ones I bought when I was on holiday.  It is actually twice this width but it is easy to cut smaller.

Let It Snow

It is that cold here today it feels like it is snowing!

The card is for the following challenges:

http://christmaschallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/challenge-74-with-bugaboo-stamp-and.html
CHNC - Show us some white

CHNC - Anything Christmas
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/chnc-challenge-extra-for-may.html

I have really gone with the snow theme and kept a lot of white in this card.  The two papers that I have used behind the image are from a christmas paper pad by MME.  The sentiment is from Mudmaven Designs and embellished with some pearls.  I have also added three pearls to the top corner and a silver swirl to the bottom corner.  The image is Four Square from Bugaboo Stamps - coloured with copics and Stickles.  The mesh/lace across the middle is some I bought from a craft shop when I was on holiday.  It was mainly patchwork fabrics and the like but they had various ribbons and laces sold by the metre - and this was one of them.

Graduation Swirl

A graduation card in a combination of silver/grey and orange:

The card is for the following challenges:
Sassy Studio Designs - Dare to be Sassy Thursday
http://sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/dare-to-be-sassy-thursday-178.html

I have used another paper from MME as my background for this card.  The image is from Sassy Studio Designs and the sentiment from Desert Diva.  The glittery swirl is one from a mixed pack of gold and silver swirls.

Jingle Bells

After missing a few letters on the way with the ABC Christmas Challenge, I'm back for J:
am entering this card into the following challenges:
ABC Christmas Challenge - J is for Jingle Bells
http://abcchristmaschallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/j-is-for-jingle-bells.html

The Outlawz CAS Challenge - Winter
http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/sundayscleanandsimplecas/forum/topics/cas-challenge-may-26-2013

This nice cheerful image comes from May Brit.  I have coloured the snowman in copic markers and then used C1 to outline the image.  The papers are from a paper pad called Christmas Collection.  The grosgrain ribbon is from American crafts.  The sentiment is from Folded Paper and Printed Pixels and has been die-cut with a Spellbinders Banner die.

Golfing Dad

My Dad is a golfer so it's always nice to find golfer images I can use on cards for him.  Father's Day isn't until September but it is nice to be prepared.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
PINspirational Challenge - Inspiration photo
http://pinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/pinspirational-challenge-58.html

Digi Darla - Father's Day
http://digidarlas.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/ddc-64-fathers-day.html

I have used a paper from DCWV for the background.  This one is from a set that is astronomy themed but the colours worked well with the image (that I had already coloured before choosing my paper!!).  I have matted with green cardstock and add a Happy Fathers Day sentiment and three silver brads.  I have kept it fairly simple - partly because it needs to be posted but also to keep it masculine!

Thinking of You

A nice pretty Thinking of You card:

The paper that I have used comes from Trimgym Digis.  The matting is orange paper.  The image is from A Day for Daisies and coloured with copic markers.  The sentiment is from Sans Designs.  The flower wasn't quite as orange as I wanted so I went over it with copic marker YR04 and then added an ivory coloured pearl to the centre.  The grosgrain ribbon is from American Crafts.

Whoopsi Daisy - May Flowers
http://cutedaisymay.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/may-flowers-challenge.html

Love to Create - Something for kids
http://lovetocreatechallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/challenge-66-something-for-kids.html

I have used a paper from a paper pad called Floral Fantasy and layered it with metallic paper.  I used the same metallic paper to die-cut the flowers with a Marianne's Creatables die.  I embellished the flowers with some pearls.  The image comes from Whoopsi Daisy and is coloured with copic markers.  The lace is from my stash.

Hawaiian Girl

I have had this image coloured up for a little while but haven't been able to get the inspiration to finish the card.  While doing the Sassy Studio Blog Hop, I came across a sketch challenge which was perfect - unfortunately this is the last challenge for this one (trust me to find it when it was closing!).  I'm hoping that past sketches are still on the blog and that I may be able to use them for inspiration.  Here is my take on that sketch:

This card is for the following challenges:
Graphicat Sketches - Sketch Challenge
http://graphicatsketchs.blogspot.co.nz/
CDAC - Progressive Challenge - Image #4
http://priscillastyles.ning.com/group/cdac-progressive-freebie-challenges#?=

I have followed the sketch from Graphicat Sketch Challenge:

This one is Sketch 26 so I have managed to miss 25 of them.  I love sketch challenges and working from sketches so will go back through previous posts and see if there are others there.

I have used two papers from a paper pad by MME.  The banners have been cut using a long rectangle Spellbinders die and then trimmer cut to get the banner shape.  The ribbon is a grosgrain ribbon from American Crafts.  The image is from Back 2 Paper and is the fourth freebie in the current CDAC Progressive Challenge (link above).    I have coloured the image using copic markers and accented the flower in her hair with Glossy Accents.  The rose embellishment has been crafted using orange paper and a Marianne's Creatables die.  The finishing touch is some lavender pearls.

3D ladybug

I had a lot of fun creating my 3D ladybug - thanks to the help of some Glossy Accents!

This card is for the following challenges:
Digi Darla's Challenges - 3D
http://digidarlas.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/ddc-63-3-d-creation.html

I have used a paper from MME as the background for the card.  The image is from Digi Darla and is called Garden Bug.  I printed the image out twice and just cut the ladybug from the second image. I have coloured using copic markers.  I added a couple of layers of Glossy Accents to the ladybug and then layered her over the main image.  The lace is some from my stash - I love the sparkly effect of this particular lace.  I have added some pearls to the corners of the card.

Fun in the Sun

When I first received this image, I created a card with it.  However, when I looked at the Lacy Sunshine challenge I realised it didn't quite fit.  So, I have last minute made another card:

This card is for the following challenges:
Lacy Sunshine - Anything but square
http://lacysunshinechallengeblog.blogspot.gr/2013/05/challenge-8-anything-but-square.html
Outlawz Copic Challenge - One layer cards
http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/copicchallenge/forum/topics/copic-promarker-challenge-may-24-30
Penny's Challenges - Circles
http://pennyschallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/welcome-to-pennys-challenge-128.html

I have used Spellbinders dies to cut the image and the cardstock.  The image from Heather Valentin has been coloured with copic markers.  I sponged the image with some Distress Ink  -  Dusty Concord.  I used this same ink to stamp "Fun in the Sun" around the edge of the card.  The stamp is an acrylic stamp by Pollycraft.  I coloured one of the sentiments using Y17 to give it more prominence.

Christmas in NZ

This is a bit of a random card.  I'm lacking a bit in sleep and it tends to make me think a bit off beat!  I live in NZ and here is it summer at Christmas time, so we tend to have summer fruits as part of our Christmas meal.  Once I started on that train of thought, I looked at this image and thought.....not a creature was stirring not even a mouse.   I told you it was random!  I was going to do a different card for the CHNC challenge but my random thoughts were screaming at me to take notice!

This card is for the following challenges:
Doodle Pantry - Anything Goes
http://doodlepantryblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/doodle-pantry-digital-challenge-34.html
CHNC - Festive food
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/chnc-challenge-125-festive-food-and.html

CHNC - Anything Christmas
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/chnc-challenge-extra-for-may.html

The backing paper for this card comes from a christmas paper pack called Merry Berry (goes with the berry theme in the image!).  The image is from Doodle Pantry.  The matting is from a lavender metallic paper and the lavender lace is from my stash.

Be Inspired 28

I haven't managed to complete a TAWS challenge for a while so was determined to do this one.  Nearly didn't make it this time either!

This card is for the following challenges:
The Alley Way Stamps - Be Inspired 28
http://www.thealleywaystamps.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/taws-be-inspired-challenge-28.html
Penny's Paper - Circles
http://pennyschallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/welcome-to-pennys-challenge-128.html
Sentimental Sundays - CAS
http://sentimentalsundays.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/challenge-155-clean-and-simple.html

The background paper is from MME.  Both the image and sentiment are from The Alley Way Stamps.  The matting is white cardstock coloured with copic marker W2 as I couldn't find the colour that I wanted!  Colouring of the image is with copic W2 and R02 plus some Glossy Accents on the heart.  I have also added three heart buttons that I found in a shop yesterday.

Jasmine Diva

I really relate to the sentiment on this card!

This card is for the following challenges:
Totally Papercrafts - Diva
http://totallypapercrafts.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/challenge-167-diva-image-young-or-old.html
Glitter n Sparkle - Bright and funky colours
http://glitternsparklechallengeblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/challenge-33.html

The papers are from a paper pad by MME.  I have used some Spellbinders dies throughout the card.  The image is Jasmine from Kenny K.

I have a story about the sentiment.  I have a habit of liking a sentiment when I see it so print it out to use.  The sensible thing would be to write on the back in pencil what the source is but I always think I'll remember.  Guess what?  I don't remember so if anyone can help me out with the source, can they please add a comment to this post so I can give credit where it is due.  I can so relate to this sentiment - actually I probably need to find the source so I can use it again!

Update - Found it in my files - the sentiment comes from Donna's Digital Creations.

Watering Can of Sunflowers

I came across a new challenge and I have used one of my new images on the card for that challenge:

This card is for the following challenges:
Friday Sketch Challenge
http://fridaysketchchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/sketch-43-made-by-kelly.html
Shelly's Images - Show Us What You Got
http://shellysimagesblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/terrifically-thrilling-thursday-show-us.html

I have used a couple of papers from a paper pad by MME called Follow Your Heart - Be Amazing.  Such an inspiring title for a paper pad!  I have followed the sketch at Friday Sketch and used an image from Shelly's Images called Sunflowers.  The image has been coloured with copic markers and then die-cut with a Spellbinders Octagon Die.  I have added three yellow rhinestones to the corner.

I have used a paper from MME for the background of this card.  The image is from Meljens Designs Studio and is called Sweet Tutu.  The sentiment comes from Bits of Paper.  I have added a double bow made from Baker's Twine using my Bowmaker and three rhinestone hearts.

Black & White Unbirthday Cake

This image is called Unbirthday Cake!

The card is for the following challenges:
Sassy Studio Designs - Black White and pop of colour
http://sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/dare-to-be-sassy-thursday-177.html
De Creatieve Zebra - Mainly black and white
http://decreatievezebra.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/challenge-20.html

I really love some of the challenges at De Creatieve Zebra but sometimes I wonder if I translate things properly as I use Google Translate to translate the challenge into English.  Hopefully, I have the general idea of this one correct!

The image that I have used for this card comes from Sassy Studio Designs.  The papers are from Meinlila Park.  I have matted using black cardstock and also die-cut a banner using the same cardstock.  I added a flower using one of the Meinlila Park papers and a die from Marianne's Designs.  As finishing touches, I added some Kindy Glitz to the cake and a string of diamond rhinestones and pearls.

O Christmas Tree

A bit more of a CAS feel to this card - a good one to post too!

This card is for the following challenges:
CRAFT Challenge - Anything Christmas
http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/challenge-207-16th-of-may-christmas.html
CHNC - Anything Christmas
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/chnc-challenge-extra-for-may.html
Winter Wonderland - Oh Christmas Tree
http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/oh-christmas-tree.html
Glitter n Sparkle - Bright Funky Colours
http://glitternsparklechallengeblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/challenge-33.html
Limited Runs - Customer Gallery
http://limitedrunsstamps.blogspot.co.nz/p/customer-gallery.html

I have kept the style of this card fairly CAS which means that it is a cheaper card to post.  The image that I have used is from Limited Runs and came with the sentiment O Christmas Tree - just perfect for the challenge at Winter Wonderland!  I have coloured the trees using copic markers YG23, B05 and one other green one which may have been YG11 but can't be too sure.  The sparkly tree embellishment is one that came in a grab bag that I bought a while back.

If you are unfamiliar with grab bags (they may be called something else in other countries) they are a bag that is often not see-through containing a mixture of items.  These are usually priced pretty close to cost price and are stuff that the shop has had sitting on the shelf and wants to get rid of.  You can get a good bargain but often not know what you have got until you get home.  This particular grab bag had lots of goodies in it and definitely worth buying!

Snowman and Wolfie

This is such a fun christmas image to work with:

The card is for the following challenges:
CRAFT Challenge - Anything Christmas
http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/challenge-207-16th-of-may-christmas.html
CHNC - Anything Christmas
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/chnc-challenge-extra-for-may.html
QKR Stampede - Children's Cards
http://qkrstampede.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/challenge-39-childrens-cards-or-gift.html
Love to Create - Something for Kids
http://lovetocreatechallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/challenge-66-something-for-kids.html

I have stippled the base card with Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass to give a soft sky colour.  The blue paper is some I found yesterday in a shop.  Years ago, I bought some colour themed paper packs that contained various sizes and shades of the same colour.  I hadn't seen them in the shop recently but found some again yesterday so I bought four packs - cream, blue, red, green.  The orange snowflake has been cut using a paper from one of the earlier packs that I bought along with a Spellbinders die.  The image is from Doodle Dragon Studio and has been coloured with copic markers - W5, W3, W1, Y07 and Y04.  I also outlined in B000 and added some Kindy Glitz to the hat.

Lacey Ornament

A christmas card featuring an ornament:

This card is for the following challenges:
CRAFT Challenge - Christmas
http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/challenge-207-16th-of-may-christmas.html
CHNC - Anything Christmas
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/chnc-challenge-extra-for-may.html
Kaboodle Doodles - Spots and/or Stripes
http://kaboodledoodles.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/challenge-172-stripes-and-or-circles.html

The background papers are both from christmas paper pads by MME.  The image is from Ginger Loft and is coloured with copic markers.  The sentiment is from Mudmaven Designs.  The matting is textured cardstock from Kaisercraft.  I have used dies from Spellbinders for the image, matting and also the sentiment.  The piece of lace under the spotty paper has been cut in half lengthways so that it reaches across the paper.  Fortunately, with the design of the lace that was an easy thing to do.

Butterfly Easel Card

I have made an easel card this time:

This card is for the following challenges:
Penny's Paper - Step or Easel Card
http://pennyschallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/welcome-to-pennys-challenge-127.html
Platypus Creek Digitals - Easel Card
http://www.platypuscreekdigitals.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/challenge-31.html
Outlawz Greeting Card - Shades of Purple
http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/birthdaycard/forum/topics/greetings-challenge-may-20th

While I was out and about today, I found a store that had MME paper pads at half price, so I bought a few.  Of course, I couldn't wait to use them!  So, this paper is from one of the pads I bought today.  The image that I have used comes from Platypus Creek Digitals.  I printed it in two different sizes - one as the main image and then three small ones to act as the stopper for the easel.  The lovely purple bow is organza ribbon tied using my Bow Maker.  The colouring on this card is with copic markers V15 and V12.

Speedy Recovery

I'm helping out Lisa (Décosse's Dynamite Doodles) who is helping out Naomi (Creative Bug on the Loose).   This is my card with this week's freebie from Creative Bug on the Loose:

I am also entering the card in the following challenges:

I have used a couple of papers from a paper pad by MME for this card.  Lots of layers in the card with the addition of some chocolate brown cardstock from Rosies Studio.  The image as I said above is a freebie from Creative Bug on the Loose.  The sentiment is from Daizeefli.  The button embellishment is another that I raided from my Mum's button box (with her permission of course!).  She has had a large biscuit box full of buttons for as long as I can remember and never used many of them.  When she found out I could use them on cards, she let me sort through them and take any that I thought I could use!  I think some of them have been removed from garments so there is a bit of recycling there too.

Teddy Bear Christmas

I'm really pleased with how this Christmas Card turned out:

The card is for the following challenges:
CRAFT Challenge - Christmas
http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/challenge-207-16th-of-may-christmas.html

Trimgym - Anything Goes

CHNC - Anything Christmas
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/chnc-challenge-extra-for-may.html

I have used several papers from a paper pad called Merry Beary Christmas.  I matted some of them to give a bit more definition to the card.  I have used a textured cardstock from a christmas paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The image is from Trimgym and the sentiment from Netty's Cards.  I edged the sentiment with Distress Ink - Barn Door.  The image is coloured with copic markers.

Poppy and her Dog

I have used some double-sided paper this time to create the background.

This card is for the following challenges:
PINspirational Challenge - Girl and Dog
http://pinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/pinspirational-challenge-57.html
Nutcrafters - Use some kraft
http://nutcrafters.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/challenge-43use-some-kraft.html
Robyn's Fetish - Four legged friends
http://robynsfetishchallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/challenge-160-four-legged-friends.html

I used both sides of this paper to create the background - matching the hearts so it looks like it is one piece!  The image used is from Nutcrafters and is called Poppy.  I used some Kraft card to create the matting as well as a flower embellishment.  The flower embellishment is made using a die-cut from Marianne's Creatables.

Congratulations Puppy

I'm always in need of a few Congratulations cards, so have made one ahead of time:

This card is for the following challenges:
PINspirational Challenges - Dog
http://pinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/pinspirational-challenge-57.html

Robyn's Fetish - Four legged friends
http://robynsfetishchallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/challenge-160-four-legged-friends.html

I have used a Martha Stewart border punch to create a border strip using Kraft.  I added a blue grosgrain ribbon to the border to match the bow on the dog.  I had actually coloured the dog first so was pleased to be able to find a ribbon to match!  The image is from Bugaboo stamps and the sentiment from Sans Designs.  I used a corner punch around the image and added some twine from Docrafts.

Just in case it isn't clear, my BINGO line is - twine - ribbon--Bugaboo image

Thank You Pup

I'm starting to build up my supply of Thank You cards ready to thank my children's teachers:

THe metal dragonfly brads are some from my stash.  I bought them a long time ago and never really used them - still have a few left for another project.  The faux stitching is done with a Distress Marker.

Glitter n Sparkle - Bright and Funky Colours
http://glitternsparklechallengeblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/challenge-33.html

I have used a background paper from a paper pad called Sweet Wishes.  The pennants have been cut from yellow and orange cardstock using a Spellbinders die - I had to fold the cardstock to get the length I required.  I have die-cut a square for behind the image using Metallic Paper and a Spellbinders die.  The image comes from Doodle Dragon Studios and has been coloured with copic markers.  I wanted this to be a bit of a fun card rather than a realistic card so the bees are orange and yellow and pink and yellow!  I had added some Cotton Candy Stickles to the flower centres as well as the circles on the background paper.

The papers come from a paper pad that came with a recent issue of a magazine - loved these papers as soon as I saw them.  The image is from Just Some Lines and the sentiment from Desert Diva.  I have used copic markers for the colouring.  The twine is a recent purchase as I didn't have any in my stash at all and liked the look of it.  I now have four colours to choose from!

Pirate Penny

Although I've used quite cool colours I feel this card has quite a fresh crisp look to it.  I'm probably inspired by the fact that it is winter here and the temperatures are getting cooler.  Today, though the sun is out which is fabulous.
