Kitty in colour

It is late at night (like 11.30pm!) and I'm struggling to come up with a decent title for this post!

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

http://craftyhazelnutspatternedpaper.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/craftyhazelnuts-patterned-paper-january.html

I have used three papers from a paper pack by Bearly Mine Designs.  The matting is pink pearlised paper and blue pearlised paper.  The image is from From The Heart Stamps and coloured with copic markers.  The blue chipboard and blue rhinestone are both from my stash.

I wasn't clear from the rules whether digital papers counted or not.  Both this card and one other one I submitted tonight are created using digital papers.  If they are not valid, I understand if they are deleted but would appreciate a comment to that effect.

This is the sketch I followed:

Although red is not one of my favourite colours - I really love the effect of deep red in cardmaking.

Black and White ....and Yellow

I love working with Black and White with a hint (or more) of another colour but I usually struggle to find Black and White papers that I like.  When I saw this paper pad of chalkboard effect papers - well, I just had to have it!

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

I have used two digi images for this card - the dolphins are from Bugaboo Stamps and the palm tree from Little Miss Muffet.  I printed the dolphins onto cardstock and used this as my base layer.  I then fussy cut the palm tree and gave it a bit of an island look.  Colouring is with various copic markers - some of which I forgot to write down but the others are - C3, C0, YG06, YG03, BG49, BG000, B000 plus there were two others in the BG range plus whatever I used on the trunk (may be E35 and E33).

Baby it's cold outside....

.. so it is a good time to catch up on some reading!

I am entering my wintery reading card into the following challenges:
Kaboodle Doodles - Baby it's cold outside (challenge wasn't specific so I hope my interpretation is okay!)
http://kaboodledoodles.blogspot.co.nz/2014/01/challenge-208-baby-its-cold-outside.html
Clear It Out Challenge - CASE a DT Card
http://clearitoutchallenge.blogspot.ca/2014/01/its-challenge-time_21.html

Here is the DT I chose to CASE:
http://meine-bastelarena.blogspot.de/2014/01/time-for-new-challenge-at-clear-it-out_21.html

This time I chose one from Sujin.  You can find the original by clicking on the photo above (hopefully!)

I have used two different wintry papers from a Christmas paper pad.  The image is from Floppy Latte and I tried to pick up the colours from the snowflake themed papers - at least I think the yellow one is snowflakes as well as the other one.  I added some Stickles - Crystal around the edge of the circle die-cut and also some pearls to the top right hand corner.  The twine that I have used comes from docrafts.

Bare Essentials

That is what this card is all about!  So far, I have got through two letters of the alphabet - I'm hoping to get through the whole alphabet this year!

I am entering the following challenges with my card:
Digi Stamps 4 Joy - Progressive Christmas Challenge
http://digistamps4joy-sa.blogspot.co.nz/2014/01/monthly-christmas-challenge-january-2014.html

Christmas Cards All Year Round - Anything Christmas
http://christmascardsallyearround.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/january-2014.html

I have used the lovely image from Digi Stamps 4 Joy Progressive Christmas Challenge and repeat printed it to give a line-up of them.  The image has been coloured with a combination of copic markers and Stickles.  I matted the image onto yellow glitter cardstock from DCWV and the embellished the card with a few gemstones from Rosie's Studio.

Winter Fun

One of the challenges I am entering for this challenge was a CASE challenge.  I wasn't entirely sure what that meant so decided to treat it like a sketch challenge.  Not sure if that was correct or not - besides I love sketches and any chance to use a sketch I grab it!

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

http://upinthenightwithkat.blogspot.ca/

If I did it correctly, clicking on the picture should take you to Kathy's blog.

I have used a striped paper from Trimgym for the background.  I used some left over scraps to cut the pennants.  The image is from QKR Stampede and coloured with copic markers B99, B93, B02, B000, C3, C0, E00.  The sentiment is from Scrap Happy Paper Crafter.  Matting is blue textured cardstock of an unknown brand.

Kitty Canister

I drink a lot of Drinking Chocolate but don't like to throw away the lovely canisters.  I decided that whenever possible this year, I would try to decorate some of them.  This is my first one for this year!

I am entering my canister into the following challenges:
Ike's World - Anything Goes
http://ikesworldchallengeblog.blogspot.co.nz/2014/01/challenge-9-anything-goes.html
Peppercus Designs - Anything But a Card (at least I think that is what it says!!!)
http://peppercus-design-challengeblog.blogspot.de/2014/01/challenge-25-bis-14022014.html

I have painted my canister with White Gesso and then acrylic paint.  The image is from Ike's World and has been coloured with copic markers E02, Y38, Y35.   I have added some Glossy Accents to the cat's eyes.  I have some large rhinestones that I bought some time ago that I often find too large for cardmaking (I think they may have been in a pack of mixed sizes).  They were perfect to add some sparkle to the canister.  I also added some Stickles - Copper to the canister.  I also used washi tape as a border at the top and bottom of the canister.

Bit By The Bug - Another Bug is Born

Sorry for the delay in this post appearing - a few technical issues!

You are going to want to go and visit Creative Bug on the Loose today because a new Bug has been born. Naomi is sharing with the world her newest release:

Shiver

Here is my card that I created using this wonderful digi:

About this time last year, I saved a freebie paper from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles Wonderful Wednesday January Kit.  Over the past year, I have used that paper a lot as I love it so much.  Imagine my pleasure when I found that this year's Wonderful Wednesday January Kit contained the same paper in a different colourway!  This is my first card using it but I imagine it won't be my last!
I have also used some pink glitter tape from American Crafts and some bling plus followed the sketch at The Outlawz Wednesday challenge (link below).  The die-cut is a Spellbinder Labels die which I edged with copic marker.  The image is coloured with copic markers.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:

I love yellow

Yellow is my favourite colour yet I don't seem to craft with it that much.  I find it is such a sunny feel good colour.  I really enjoyed working with an image that leant itself toward a yellow colour scheme!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
A Day For Daisies - Add some yellow

Eureka Stamps - 3 Favourite Embellishments (Die Cut, rhinestone, mesh ribbon)

CHNC - Patterned Paper
http://craftyhazelnutspatternedpaper.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/craftyhazelnuts-patterned-paper-january.html

I used some yellow paper from MME for the background then pulled out my favourite yellow mesh ribbon.  The image is from A Day For Daisies and is coloured with copic markers.  The centres of the flowers have been highlighted with Glossy Accents.  I added a flower cut from glitter cardstock (DCWV) using a Marianne's Die and embellished with a rhinestone.

Harbour Scene

I didn't think this one was going to get completed.  I have had the image coloured for a few days though.

I am entering:
Delicious Doodles - Easel Cards

Kaboodle Doodles - Use Blue
http://kaboodledoodles.blogspot.co.nz/2014/01/challenge-207-use-blue.html

I have used some offcuts of paper from Provo Craft.  The image is from Delicious Doodles and coloured with copic markers.  I think the sentiment is from Desert Diva but need to check.  I have also used blue mesh ribbon and a string of pearls and rhinestones.

I have used a left-over square of scrapbook paper from long ago!  The image is from Meljens Designs Studio and coloured in copic markers.  The stickers as I said above I have had for a while and not really used.  I also added some jewels I bought about 6 months ago (and again had hardly used!).  A bit of Stickles to add a touch of snow to the image and Voila....another Christmas card to the stock!

Heart of Flowers

I had this card ready to post a few hours back but had to go out to take some swimming lessons and have only just returned home.  Weather wasn't great for swimming today but the kids did great.

Here is the sketch that I followed:

Cool Girl

I actually had found it quite a challenge to work in cool colours.  I just had so much temptation to add in my favourite orange and yellow (a little bit did creep in!).

The embellishments are some I got a while back from a Pacific themed section of our local "Dollar" type store.  The sentiment is from Desert Diva
