Day 30 - Do What You Love

This is a great theme to finish the month off!  I made it through the entire month completing every challenge with a Beccy's Place image and/or sentiment!  At times I regretted giving myself the extra challenge but having done that I wasn't going to give in!  I am definitely stubborn!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Beccy's Place - Day 30
http://beccysplace.blogspot.com.au/2014/11/a-month-of-holiday-cards.html

I have used a paper from Kaisercraft for this card.  I had already coloured the image before I chose the paper as I had a colour scheme in mind!  Fortunately I was able to find a paper that was a good match!  The image is from Beccy's Place and is coloured with copic markers G000, G14, R59, R46, Y28, E15.  I added some Star Dust Stickles to the partridge, Gold Stickles to the bow and Glossy Accents to the pears.  I have also die-cut three star and bow dies from gold glitter cardstock from American Crafts.

For this card I have used my favourite colouring medium of copic markers and my favourite dies - Memory Box.  This image is also my favourite Beccy's Place image and of course I had to include some Glossy Accents and Stickles too!

Day 27 - Create Something Regional

Since it is summer time here for Christmas, I was inspired to use a non-Christmas image in traditional Christmas colours!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Beccy's Place - Day 27
http://beccysplace.blogspot.com.au/2014/11/a-month-of-holiday-cards.html

I have used a bauble patterned paper from DCWV for the background.  The image is from Beccy's Place and coloured with copic markers.  I cut the image into a tag shape matted with red cardstock.  I also used a sentiment from Beccy's Place cut into a tag and matted with red cardstock.  I added some red bird shaped buttons.  As it is summertime here we definitely have birds flying around and chirping away happily!  I added some red and white Christmas ribbon from American Crafts to the bottom of the card.

Owl Wish You

An owl themed card which will probably be for my son:

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Gerda Steiner Progressive Challenge - Owl Wish You
http://gerdasteinerdesigns.com/challenge2/2014/11/2/novembers-challenge-owl-wish-you-

I have used a paper from a paper pad.  The image is Owl Wish You from Gerda Steiner.  I coloured with copic markers, die-cut with a Spellbinders die and then added some coloured pearls around the edge.  I also used some glittery lace from Sullivans, a lime green flower and a rhinestone for the centre.

Jar Shaped Card

As soon as I saw this image from Imagine That I knew I wanted to create a shaped card.  However, it has taken me all month to complete it!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Imagine That - Progressive Challenge
http://imaginethatdigistamp.blogspot.co.nz/2014/11/novembers-challenge-is-here.html

I have sized the image from Imagine That large enough to create a shaped card.  I coloured the image with copic markers and then added some gold Stickles around the edge of the ribbon and some Glossy Accents to the holly berries.

Three Tags

I decided to combine the two Christmas tags with a Steampunk tag for this card:

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Digi Stamps 4 Joy - Progressive Christmas Challenge
http://digistamps4joy-sa.blogspot.co.nz/2014/11/monthly-christmas-challenge-november.html

I have used a cream based Christmas paper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The tags are all from Digi Stamps for Joy - the two Christmas ones are part of the Progressive Christmas Challenge.  I coloured the tags with copic markers and added some Stickles to the centres of the snowflakes.  I die-cut a re-inforcing ring for each of the tags from glitter cardstock (DCWV).

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

For some reason, that line is the one I remember most from this tune!

I have used three papers from a Christmas Paper Pack by Bearly Mine Designs.  The pack is called "Christmas Sparkle".  I matted the layers with blue cardstock.  The image is from Delicious Doodles.  I left the image uncoloured and just gave the snow some sparkle with Stickles.  I also die-cut three snowflakes using a border die from Memory Box and glitter cardstock from DCWV.

Celebrate

I'm not usually a fan of colouring in pink, but for some reason I decided to with this image!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Catch The Bug - Photo Inspiration (drink)
http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.co.nz/2014/11/photo-inspiration-challenge.html

Day 29 - Die Cut Delirium

I pulled out a lot of my Memory Box dies and then just die-cut and played around with them.

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Beccy's Place - Day 29
http://beccysplace.blogspot.com.au/2014/11/a-month-of-holiday-cards.html

I have used three colours of glitter cardstock from DCWV for this card.  The dies are all from Memory Box and overlapped.  I also used some of the "waste" from the dies around the outside.  The sentiment is from Beccy's Place and was just perfect to fill the gap that I had at the bottom corner!

Day 28 - Construct a Card

I struggled a bit to get the idea in my head onto paper for this one.  In the end, I decided to construct a simple scene:

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Beccy's Place - Day 28
http://beccysplace.blogspot.com.au/2014/11/a-month-of-holiday-cards.html

I have used papers and die-cuts from Kaisercraft for this card.  I added part of a die-cut along the bottom to represent a trim on the wallpaper.  I used a wreath die-cut which is "hanging" on the wall.  I also added a sentiment that I felt fit the image of the tree on the paper.

Day Nine - Embossing

With a day and a half left of the month long challenge at Beccy's Place, I'm down to five cards to go (including this one).  At one stage, I didn't think I was going to get anywhere near finished - now I'm at least close.  This is one of the earlier ones that I was struggling with inspiration.

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Beccy's Place - Day Nine
http://beccysplace.blogspot.com.au/2014/11/a-month-of-holiday-cards.html

I embossed some white cardstock and then added a line of Liquid Pearls top and bottom.  While I was using the Liquid Pearls I decided to add a dot to the centre of each snowflake as well!  The image is from Beccy's Place and is coloured with copic markers B05, YR23, R59 with a border around the image of B000.  I also added Stickles to the pompom and the snow.

Day 24 - A Touch of Gold

I'm really thrilled with how this looks with just white and gold.

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Beccy's Place - Day 24
http://beccysplace.blogspot.com.au/2014/11/a-month-of-holiday-cards.html

I have used gold cardstock from DCWV along with a white textured cardstock also from DCWV.  The image is from Beccy's Place and is coloured with copic marker Y28, Gold Stickles and Star Dust Stickles.

Day 23 - Do It Differently

I have used this image a few times before - sometimes only in part.  This time I decided to go with a Black and White colour scheme and a CAS style.

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Beccy's Place - Day 23
http://beccysplace.blogspot.com.au/2014/11/a-month-of-holiday-cards.html

I have used a square black card blank for the base.  I size the image so that it was slightly smaller than the card blank.  The stitching is coloured with Distress Marker - Black Soot and the image coloured with copic markers 100 and C7.  I also used Glossy Accents on the icing.

Day Fourteen - Christmas Symbols

There are a lot of Christmas symbols that I could choose from.  For this card, I decided to use a Christmas pudding image:

Beccy's Place - Day Fourteen
http://beccysplace.blogspot.com.au/2014/11/a-month-of-holiday-cards.html

I have used a patterned paper from a Christmas paper pad by MME.  The image is from Beccy's Place and is coloured with copic markers and then accented with Stickles.  I matted with glitter cardstock from DCWV.  I used the same glitter cardstock to die-cut a holly embellishment which I further embellished with a gold glitter dome.

Day 25 - Baubles

I used an image in three different sizes and then die-cut using a bauble shaped die.  I'm thrilled with how this turned out.

CHNC - Getting Ready For Christmas
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/chnc-challenge-204-getting-ready-for.html

I used a paper from a Christmas paper pad by MME for the background.  The image is one from Beccy's Place which I re-sized into three different sizes.  I then used a set of Spellbinders bauble dies to cut out and emboss each image.  I coloured each bauble in the embossed area with copic markers B000, Y000 and G000.  I then added Liquid Pearls to the berries to represent leaf-less Mistletoe!  I added some twine to hang each bauble and embellished the corners of the card with Liquid Pearls.

Day Eighteen - Distress Inks

The stamp is inked with Distress Ink and then I moved the ink around to get the lighter shades.

I have used a paper from Kaisercraft for the card.  The image has been stamped using a rubber stamp (brand unknown) and Distress Ink - Crushed Olive.  I die-cut the image using a Nellies Multi-Frame die.  The sentiment is from Beccy's Place and die-cut using a Spellbinders die.  I also die-cut a bell embellishment using textured cardstock and a Memory Box die.  I added the cut out pieces of holly to the sentiment along with some dots of Liquid Pearls.

Day Nineteen - Get Inspired

I am not on Pinterest but I did manage to view a couple of cards before it asked for a login!  One immediately gave me some inspiration and with some searching I managed to find it on a blog!
The blog is called King's on Paddington.

Here is my take on that card:

Day 22 - Foliage Stamps

This is something that I had never tried before but by following the tutorial I achieved something I didn't initially think I would be able to!

Day Sixteen - Scrap Happy

This was a great opportunity to use up some of the left over pieces from other Christmas cards!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Beccy's Place - Day Sixteen
http://beccysplace.blogspot.com.au/2014/11/a-month-of-holiday-cards.html

I have used scraps of Christmas papers from both MME and Kaisercraft for this card.  I first applied tape to completely cover the card (JAC paper would have been easier except I couldn't find where I put it!).  I lay the strips across the card on a diagonal and then trimmed to fit the card.  I then mounted this piece on a red card blank so I had an small border around the sides.  The image is from Beccy's Place and has been coloured with copic markers.  I also added Glossy Accents to the berries.  The matting is red glitter cardstock from American Crafts.  I also added three red brads to the card.

Day Six - Patterned Papers

I wasn't originally going to create a monochromatic card but once I chose the paper and found a matching sentiment in the same paper pad - I just went with that colour.

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Beccy's Place - Day Six
http://beccysplace.blogspot.com.au/2014/11/a-month-of-holiday-cards.html

I have used a patterned paper and a die-cut from a Kaisercraft Christmas paper pad.  The image is from Beccy's Place and has been repeated to create a ribbon type strip.  I coloured with copic markers Y000, R37, R59, Y17.  I also added some red pearls of differing sizes around the card.

Day 26 - What's Your Style

As soon as I read this challenge, I knew whose style I was going to represent!  Hannelie of Desert Diva:
http://desertdiva-hannelie.blogspot.co.nz/
The thing about her cards that I like is the amount of "white" space in them.  She also tends to include a sentiment on the majority of her cards.
I hope I have done her style justice!

Calendar 2015

The last time I started a calendar I didn't finish it - so this time I'm starting with January and working my way through the year.  Hopefully, I will finish this one!

I would like to enter my calendar into these challenges:
Nutcrafters - Anything But A Card (Calendar)
http://nutcrafters.blogspot.co.nz/2014/11/challenge-81anything-but-card.html

I have used a "Make Your Own Calendar" which has the months included and blank pages to decorate.  I started off by inking the blank page using some Adirondack dye inks applied using shaving brushes.  The image is from Nutcrafters and is coloured with copic markers.  I added various coloured sequins around the image that represent celebrating a new year - wine glasses, starbursts and stars.  I used sequins as they are flat and are a suitable embellishment for a calendar.

Thank You So Much

I like the vibrancy of primary colours but don't often stick to just those three colours.

I have used a paper from Rosie's Studio in blue and red.  The image is from Stitchy Stamps and is coloured with copic markers B29, B24, R24, R17, R14, Y06, Y02.  I also coloured three pearls to match using B29, Y06, R46.  The matting is red cardstock.  I used a spotted ribbon from American Crafts to thread through the ribbon slider.  The ribbon slider is a Spellbinders die and the sentiment is from Create with TLC.

Day 21 - Santa Suit Cards

When I started doing this month long challenge, I decided to add an extra challenge for myself.  That was to use Beccy's Place images on each card.  I have had to amend it slightly to keep in with the challenges and have included Beccy's Place sentiments instead of images for some of the cards.  This one is one where I have only used a sentiment!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Beccy's Place - Day 21

I have used a red card blank for this card.  The white is textured cardstock from DCWV.  I used some glitter ribbon from American Crafts for the belt.  The buckle has been cut from gold cardstock from American Crafts using a Tattered Lace Die.  I added a sentiment from Beccy's Place which I inked with Distress Ink and some white buttons from my stash.

Day Twenty - Shades of White

I have used a combination of flat cardstock, pearlised cardstock and some glitter cardstock for this card.

Christmas Cards All Year Round - No Patterned Paper
http://christmascardsallyearround.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/hello-everyone-and-welcome-to-our.html

I have embossed the white card blank with an embossing folder.  I embellished the dots on the embossing with Liquid Pearls.  It is the first time I've used Liquid Pearls and I love it!   The matting and the poinsettia have been cut from white glitter cardstock from American Crafts.  I'm not sure of the brand of the pearlised card that I used to cut the star embellishments using a Memory Box die set.  The image is from Beccy's Place.  I added further "white" using a white pen, some Stickles and some Liquid Pearls.

Making use of a coloured up image

I coloured this image a week or so ago to use for a challenge.  However, I've had not enough hours in the day for the past couple of weeks and have been a bit out of routine.  As a result, the card only got as far as a coloured image.  So, when I came across the image today, I decided I would create something with it!

Penguin Paradise

This month at Scribbles Designs we are celebrating the penguin with a challenge featuring penguins.  I've used Leafy Brrr for my Fall card:

I have used a paper from Kaisercraft to pick up the colours in the penguin.  I added some red grosgrain ribbon from American Crafts.  I coloured Leafy Brrr with copic markers.  I used some textured cardstock from DCWV for the matting.  I used more textured cardstock and a Marianne's die to die-cut the leaf embellishments.  I added the letters to spell FALL using a white pen.  I also dotted around some pearls.
