Let's Chill

I finally completed a card using the fourth image in the Deedee's Digis set for January. The pressure was on a bit to complete the cards with the internet hassles I've had being sorted a couple of days ago and having to try and catch up on e-mails etc!

I am entering my card into these challenges:
Deedees Digi of the Month Challenge
http://www.deedeesdigis.com/2014/12/our-last-digi-of-month-challenge.html

I have used a paper from Kaisercraft for this card.  The paper has an embossed texture to it.  The image and sentiment are from Deedee's Digis and have been coloured with copic markers.  I also added Glossy Accents to the snowman.  The snowflake has been cut from glitter cardstock using a die that came free with a magazine.  I embellished the centre of the snowflake with a pearl.

Good Things Come To Those Who Wait

I have now created with three of the four images in the January Digi of The Month from Deedees Digis.  Hopefully, I can also compete the fourth one in time!

Deedees Digi of the Month Challenge
http://www.deedeesdigis.com/2014/12/our-last-digi-of-month-challenge.html

I have used a black and grey harlequin print paper for the background.  I added some web ribbon over the top - just to prove it can be used for cards other than Halloween!!  The image and sentiment are from Deedee's Digis.  I inked the edge of the sentiment once die-cut using Black Soot Distress Ink.  The ribbon is a satin ribbon from American Crafts.  I also added some pearls that I coloured black with copic marker 100.

December

Not yet - but I have finally got around to creating my calendar page for December.  Now I only have to finish November and it is complete!

I would like to enter my calendar page into these challenges:

I have used a scrapbook paper - source unknown.  The image is from Beccy's Place and has been coloured with copic markers.  I followed the sketch at The Outlawz by adding some glitter ribbon from American Crafts and some dome stickers from KB.

Cast Your Cares Away

Another card using one of the images from the January Digi of the Month at Deedee's Digis.  I've also used a sketch for the designs.

A Valentines card with a difference!

Brown Sugar - Valentines
http://brownsugarchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2015/01/challenge-130-valentines.html

I have used a paper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The paper has a bit of a foil effect to it.  The image is one from the set for the Deedees Digi of the Month Challenge.  I've printed out all four - not sure if I'll manage to complete a card with each of them or not!  I have matted with glitter cardstock from DCWV and also die-cut a heart from it with a Marianne's die.  The tag embellishment is a die-cut from the Kaisercraft pad - and then I tied a piece of twine through the hole.

Love You Beary Much

Some Bunny Loves You

I am having major issues with getting my internet re-connected after it was dis-connected in error.  I have access to internet for about half an hour or so - I'm getting some cards posted but I'm not sure that I will get to my e-mails.

Joy

I've been creating a lot of monochromatic blue cards recently - this time it is monochromatic red!  I also got to use up a left of piece of red too!

Here is the inspiration board I followed:

Milk and Cookies and a Candy Apple

I'm sitting here crafting instead of having something to eat.  I must be hungry though as I've been inspired to create a food related card!

Oops!  I didn't read the challenge properly at Doodle Pantry and initially missed the bit where it said the image had to be about milk - and so I used a paper with a milk theme.  As I used a Doodle Pantry image, I have decided to link it up anyway so it gets seen!

Beary Happy Birthday

After having no internet for most of the week I wasn't sure that I would complete all the cards for this challenge.  But this is the last one for the week - so I made it!  I have gone with the Animal Crackers Recipe - Bear plus Liquid Pearls plus Stickles (couldn't resist using both!)

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Catch The Bug - 5th Birthday Celebrations

I have used a birthday themed paper from Kaisercraft.  The image and sentiment are from Bugaboo and called Bobblehead Greetings - Beary Birthday.  I coloured with copic markers and matted with lavender coloured cardstock.  I added some liquid pearls to the card and some Stickles to the bear's hat.

Clowning Around

Young children love clowns and bright colours so I've combined the two for this card:

I have used a brightly patterned paper from Kaisercraft for this card.  The image and sentiment are from Bugaboo Stamps.  The image is called Clown Around - Rings and I couldn't find the link to the sentiment.  I coloured with copic markers E00, B05, YG06, Y06, YR07.  I used some orange metallic paper for the off-set matting.  I added some clear stars alongside the clown image.

Over The Hill

What a great sentiment to give someone a laugh on their birthday!

Cupcake Sprinkles

I love a treat of a favourite food on my birthday.  My very own cupcake will suit me just fine - particularly if it is a Red Velvet Cupcake with sprinkles on it!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Catch The Bug - 5th Birthday Celebrations
http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.co.nz/2015/01/bugaboo-stamps-5th-birthday-tuesday.html

I have used a doily patterned paper from Kaisercraft for this card as I thought it went well with the cupcake (reminds me of a tablecloth).  The image and sentiment are both from Bugaboo Stamps.  The sentiment is Happy Birthday Sentiment and the image is Cupcake - Sprinkles.  I used copic markers to add colour to both the image and sentiment.  I also added some lace from Sullivans.  The colours follow the colour palette for the challenge.

Eat More Cake

This isn't the image usually associated with this sentiment - but I think they are a great match!

Belated Snails Birthday

This is such an appropriate card for me to create!  I am really bad at getting birthday cards mailed in time - easy to blame it on snail mail though!

My delay in getting this blogged however is due to a lack of internet for the past 4-5 days.  Now I am on catch-up again!

Catch The Bug - 5th Birthday Celebration
http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.co.nz/2015/01/bugaboo-stamps-5th-birthday-sunday.html

I have rotated the sketch for this challenge to suit my image.  The paper I used comes from Kaisercraft.  The matting is some I have had sitting in a box for a while - just loose sheets.  The image and sentiment are from Bugaboo Stamps and called Snails - Belated Birthday.  I added three buttons tied with bakers twine.  I had a bit of trouble threading through the twine as it kept separating but persistence paid off!

Hope Your Day Is Just Ducky

Edit - I drafted this post and saved it.  Then I lost my internet connection which I have only just got back.  So, apologies for the late posting - but you do still have time to enter this challenge!

Time for a new challenge at Incy Wincy Designs.  This week our theme is "Easel Cards".  This is one style that I enjoy creating but don't do very often.  This week we are sponsored by Dr Digi.
I used a great image from Dr Digi called Scaredy Duck:

You can see some more inspiration using stamps from Dr Digi Here.

As well as the image from Dr Digi, I have used a sentiment from Create with TLC which is matted with green cardstock from Rosie's Studio and then raised up using mounting tape. The paper is from Rosie's Studio and matches the fun image and sentiment.  I also coloured some white ribbon roses with a copic marker to match the duck, added a satin ribbon bow and some bling in various colours.

Christmas Time

We are mid-way through the first challenge of 2015 at The 12 Months of Christmas Link-Up.  This month we have an optional theme of "Father Time" for you.  You don't have to use the theme but if you do you are in with a chance of winning the prize from this month's sponsor:

I have used a paper from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles to represent time.  The image that I have used comes from our sponsor Limited Runs and is called Kitty with Ornament.

I managed to use my favourite colours of orange and yellow to create a non-traditional Christmas Card.  I coloured this cute kitty with copic markers and then added some Stickles to the bow.    The sentiment is also from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles.  I die-cut the sentiment and then inked the swirly bits with Distress Ink.

Winter Wonderland

It is time to start our first challenge of 2015 at the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog.   For this challenge, the theme is Winter Wonderland.  To see my fellow team members inspiration cards click here

I have used some snowy looking background paper from Creativ.  The image and sentiment are both from Scribbles Designs.  The image is called Snowy Kisses and the sentiment is Let It Snow Quote.  I used some snowman themed satin ribbon from American Crafts across the bottom of the card.  The snowflake is a die from Spellbinders which I cut from glitter cardstock from DCWV.  I then added a pearl to the centre.  Colouring is with copic markers B00, C0 and I also used some Stickles.

Trying Something New

http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/its-all-new.html

I have used some papers from a scrapbook paper pad.  The weaving is done with one that is double sided.  I turned the darker one by a quarter turn so that the lines on it were vertical rather than horizontal.  The background (which you can only just see) is another sheet from the same paper pad.  The image is from A Day For Daisies and coloured with copic markers to match the paper.  I matted with cardstock from Rosie's Studio.

http://clearitoutchallenge.blogspot.ca/2015/01/challenge-time.html

For the background of this card I used a patterned paper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The sentiment is from a different paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The image is from Fitztown and is coloured with copic markers.  I used a fancy die from Spellbinders to cut out the image.  I also added some ribbon roses and some small pink rhinestones. Oh and a touch of Stickles to the girl's wings.

Second Calendar Page

This is the second of the two calendar pages I worked on today.  This one was a bit more of a challenge to find flat embellishments for - they need to be flat for the style of calendar I'm decorating!

I would like to enter my calendar page into these challenges:
CRAFT Challenge - Not A Card
http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/challenge-293-8th-of-january-not-card.html

The striped paper is a scrapbook one that has been sitting in my stash (for ages!).  The image is from Dr Digi and has been coloured in brightly coloured copic markers to match the background.  I added a glitter zig-zag strip and a pre-printed die-cut from a Kaisercraft paper pad.  I just thought the sentiment went so well with this image!

Calendar Page

I am now hopeful of finishing my calendar before too much longer!  I have completed two more months today - this is the first of those:

CRAFT Challenge - Not a Card

Both the image and the starry background paper are from Spyders Corner.  I coloured the image with copic markers YG09, YG06, G17, G14, W3, W0, YR07, Y06.  I added some torn paper strips as ground and edged them with Distress Ink- Vintage Photo.  I also added a butterfly sticker and some die-cuts from the back of a Kaisercraft paper pad.

Stocking Boy

I decided to work with traditional colours for this one.  I found I had an offcut of striped chevron paper which work well with the green paper.

Colour Challenge

This week we have a colour challenge for you at Incy Wincy Designs.  The colour palette and details of the challenge can be found here.

The sponsor this week is:

http://www.aurella-art.com/store.html

Here is my card using the colours and an image called Fantasy Art - Autumn Fairy Fox Stamp - Cheyanna.

As well as this delightful image, I have used some patterned paper.  I matted using purple metallic paper.  I also added some green grosgrain ribbon and some pink ribbon roses.  Colouring is with copic markers and I also added some Stickles to her wings.

Baby Girl

This cute image was just perfect for a New Baby Girl card.  It also enabled me to use up some left-over pieces of patterned paper.  I managed to work together three challenges all sponsored by Lacy Sunshine too.

Lacy Sunshine - Sparkly and New
http://lacysunshinechallengeblog.blogspot.gr/2015/01/challenge-49-sparkly-and-new.html

I have used two half sheets of paper from a paper pad called "Bundle of Joy" from Kaisercraft.  The image is from Lacy Sunshine and coloured with copic markers E00, RV23, RV21, RV13, RV10, E43.  The window has been cut from bright pink cardstock and then sparkled with some Stickles - Star Dust.  I cut a strip of lace in half and used each half top and bottom of the window.  The window is raised up above the image for depth.  I also added some crocheted flowers (bought like that as I can't crochet!) and some pearls.

Let It Snow

I have gone with a brighter colour palette than I normally use for snow themed cards - mainly driven by my only available textured paper.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Brown Sugar - Pink and Red
http://brownsugarchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2015/01/challenge-128-pink-red.html

I have used a textured paper from my stash.  The pink pieces are offcuts of papers from Bearly Mine Designs.  The image and sentiment are from From The Heart Stamps.  Colouring is with copic markers and I also added Stickles to the hat.

I have ended up using some of the colours of the colour palette - but not intentionally this time.  The only textured paper I could find matched the colours!  Here is the inspiration board I worked from:

Snowman and Snowflakes

When the challenge at Eureka Stamps called for Snowman or Snowflakes, I couldn't decide which of these lovely images to use - so I used both!
